My another brand new piece “Ok” for Base Clarinet will get its premiere by Petra Stump-Linshalm @duostumplinshalm at Carte blanche festival in Germany on 5th May 2023.

This piece is one of the collective pieces included some written by wonderful composers, such as Karola Obermüller, Kristine Tjøgersen, and Lotta Wennäkoski.

The piece’s title is “Ok” but it’s not pronounced “okay”. It’s the name of glacier was declared dead in 2014 in Iceland. As the theme of the festival is a connection to environment/nature, this piece’s written with the inspiration by the book “On Time and Water” written by Icelandic author Andri Snær Magnason.

“The time that created us, and our time is also the time of the people that we will know and love, the time that we create. We can easily span 230 years– the handshake of generations.”
