I am honoured and grateful that my orchestral work Droplet Silhouette has been awarded the Da Capo Prize at the 9th Brandenburger Biennale.

Following its premiere by the SWR Symphony Orchestra in Freiburg, Germany, in 2025, the work will receive a new performance by the Brandenburger Symphoniker (details to be announced).

My sincere thanks to the musicians involved in the premiere and to everyone who has been part of this piece’s journey so far. I look forward to continuing that journey with new performers and audiences.

One of the jury members noted that there seemed to be very few women composers among the applicants. As a woman composer, I was particularly touched by those words. At the same time, I hope for a future in which music is met first and foremost as music, and where it can simply be said that a beautiful piece was written by someone who happened to be a woman.

本作は2025年にドイツ・フライブルクでSWR交響楽団により初演され、このたびブランデンブルク交響楽団による再演が決定しました（詳細は追ってお知らせいたします）。

初演に関わってくださった音楽家の皆さま、そしてこれまで作品を支えてくださったすべての方々に心より感謝いたします。新たな演奏家や聴衆の皆さまとともに、この作品の歩みをさらに続けていけることを嬉しく思います。
