Honored to share that my Cello Concerto, premiered in Copenhagen last year by Maria Isabel Edlund, Athelas Sinfonietta, and Bjarni Frímann, and later broadcast on Danish national radio, has been selected by the Danish Broadcasting Corporation as one of the works representing Denmark at this year’s International Rostrum of Composers.

Founded in 1955, the International Rostrum of Composers is a long-standing international forum for contemporary music, where public radio broadcasters from around the world present selected works for listening, discussion, and international recommendation.

I’ll be attending this year’s session in Riga from May 12–15, where radio producers and music professionals gather to listen to and discuss works from participating countries, selecting the year’s Recommended and Selected Works. The chosen pieces are then shared internationally through public radio broadcasts, opening the music to new audiences and future opportunities across borders.

International Rostrum of Composers は、1955年より続く国際的な現代音楽フォーラムです。各国の公共ラジオ放送局によって選出された作品が集められ、世界各地から集まったラジオプロデューサーや音楽関係者による試聴・議論・選考が行われます。選出作品はその後、各国のラジオ番組を通して国際的に紹介・放送され、現代音楽作品を広く世界へ届ける重要な機会となっています。

大変光栄なことに、昨年コペンハーゲンにて Maria Isabel Edlundさん、Athelas Sinfonietta、Bjarni Frímannさん によって初演され、デンマーク国営放送にて放送された拙作チェロ協奏曲が、今年の International Rostrum of Composers におけるデンマーク代表作品の一つとして選出されました。

これに伴い、来週5月12日〜15日に Riga にて開催される選考会に参加いたします。選考会では、各国から集まったラジオプロデューサーたちが参加作品を試聴し、議論を重ねながら、その年の Selected Works / Recommended Works を選出します。
